Thanks to all.

Iīll check the spring plug-in (as soon as I discover what is that ;D)

@Ringwall: youīre right, maybe thatīs the reason I think it has something strange...

Hi

Recently Iīve been making some ninja weapons. Here are the final results.
Ironically, the kusarigama, which is my favorite, is the worst of all. Iīd like to give the string a more "stringy" look... Any ideas on how to do that?

Thanks for your c&cīs :-)

One for skilled modellers (obviously not for me,hehe): Transformers. Create (and animate) your own transformer robot. It can be any object/animal!!

Hey! I remember those rythms and sounds from a program I had years ago. What was its name? :-)

By the way, great work. I love the cartoony style, specially the face of the thief the first time he sees the dog. Reminds me some characters from The Secret of Monkey Island :-)

I canīt give you "technical" c&cīs because I have very limited skills with Anim8or. So my only crit is that the owners of the house doesnīt look like the other characters... less "cartoony", as if they were part of another project...

Anyway, congratulations. I loved it!!!

Hey, thatīs great!! I had an Ork WH40K army when younger... is the funniest army to paint & play, if youīre not expecting to win every battle!

I want to model some WH40K models too, but Iīm afraid I need A LOT more skills... Please post your progress!!

General Anim8or Forum / Texturing non-spherical objects...
« on: August 31, 2009, 06:17:57 am »
Well I know this is a VERY nooby question but I donīt know how to do it...

Iīm trying to finish the model I started for the "Old & Rusty" challenge (and I couldnīt finish), and when trying to apply a texture it makes strange effects, as seen on the attached image.

What am I supposed to do for texturing objects? Is it just a matter of doing each "face" of the object as a separate object and then joining all together? Iīm sure itīs very easy and there are lots of topics in this forum about it, but my English is not very good and I donīt know the exact terms I should look for...

Please tell me what should I do or pass me a link to a site which explains this...

Thanks in advance

Khaspah.-

Very little time this days, but Iīd like to take part on this challenge, so Iīll go for a smaller object than yours :-)

Hereīs my first sketch, without textures:

Anyway, thanks for your votes. Very good result for me, considering the quality of the other works, hehe.

Great work all

Tiodiego, it looks like an old videogame screenshot! Its great!!  :)

Indian8or: I like yours specially. Itīs very disturbing the fact that this green creature seems not to be affected by low gravity. The idea of the creature walking slowly towards the astronaut is great for an animation  ;D

Well, this is my final render until now. I have to avoid somehow the distortion on the upper left planet and Iīm not very sure about the textures and scale of the planet with ring, but more or less this will be the final scene...

Wow, you guys really know how encourage people...  ;D

3Dgeek11 is not far from the truth... the thing is Iīm still learning the basics on modelling, and I havenīt done nothing of animation apart from linking several bones together  :)

But everytime I finish a model I feel Iīd like to see it moving, so probably Iīll try to animate something very soon...

Thanks a lot for your comments and advices.

One step more for my scene. Kreator, thanks a lot for your support! I promise to watch all your tutorials.

I want to add more elements and maybe change the lightning, but itīs starting to look more or less as Iīve got it in my mind, and that makes me very happy!!  ;D

Yeps, now that Iīve done a couple more things on Anim8or, seems that everything I do is quite cartoony... It maybe has something to do with the Peter Pan complex or so ...  ;D

Anyway, Iīve got this model "parked" somewhere, but Iīll try to give it a second look and improve it a bit... thanks for all your comments!!
