General Anim8or Forum / materials always look yellowish
« on: April 15, 2008, 01:06:27 pm »
Hey there,

it's quite strange but I never noticed it before.

1. Create a new file.
2. Create a sphere.
3. Create a new material:
ambient/specular/emissive: 0.0
diffuse: 1.0
diffuse-color (in rgb): 255/255/255
4. apply this material to the created sphere

In the standard-front-view the sphrere looks quite yellowish to me in the lower left corner. If you can't see it, try to use the arcball-rotation to see the sphere from another side.

I've never noticed that before...
So how can I render a complete diffuse white sphere?

Greets,
Laryllan

General Anim8or Forum / orthographic view from a specific point of view
« on: January 26, 2008, 03:02:45 am »
Hey guys.

I have lots of objects that need to be rendered in an orthographic view. The problem is that the standard point of view of the orthographic view is not the position I need. I want to render the objects in an orthographic view but seen from a sepecific point of view. I know I could place a camera each time exactly at the position I want but then the images do not look orthographically. So I need a possibility to render orthographically but I also need to set the exact position of the "orthographic camera". Know what I mean?

Thanks a lot!

ASL Scripts / How the set camera's position
« on: January 17, 2008, 01:55:40 am »
Hi there.

I'm new to ASL and I think it sounds quite cool. But there is one point I didn't find an answer to...

Is there a possibility to set the position of the camera in a scene?

Thank you guys very much,
Laryllan
