Finished Works and Works in Progress / Star Trek Tutorial Video
« on: January 18, 2014, 06:04:46 pm »
Been a little while since I've posted but...

This video displays many of the utilities of Ani8or in all its glory.  The short clip includes 60 min. of Star Wars ship modeling, scene setting, and rendering compressed into 5 min.  A little photoshop on the final image render for a spicy cover pic.  This was a screen-capture test for another project so enjoy.

Anim8or in the Classroom

I have just completed instructing 75 freshmen in a 1 day course entitled Introduction to 3D animation.  The course introduces high school student to the fundamentals of 3D animation.  I chose Anim8or as our software because it's easy to use, free, and has everything needed to make short animated films.  The course was a great success and the student really enjoyed learning Anim8or and making short films.

The course is a web-siminar laid out over several web pages.  I would like to make those pages available to the Anim8or community.  It's a great place to get started if you are new or haven't used the software in a while.  The course covers the creation of character and environment models, scenes, and a short animated film. Topic covered are object modeling, texturing, and animation. Texture Mapping, Set Layout, Scene Lighting, and Camera Movement are also highlights of this course.

I just wanted to share... so here's the link:

Enjoy!

Test animation of the space shuttle landing at an air field.  Going for a photo-realistic feel with this one.
