When i use the add weights and bones ... and try to move them they pinch right at the joint so the arm looks like a bent peice of paper... how could i fix this?

I read the manual and i still dont get it... i did build morphtarget ... then i moved what i needed to... then i hit none... so now i have 2 different appearences... now how do i make a it work? what do i have to be in? figure? scene? sequence? ... thanks
