I am about to make a model and I was wondering what the best type of modeling would be. I have heard of box modeling, edge extruding, metaballs, and more. I was wondering how to do edge extrusion and metaballs but mainly edge also which would be the best?

I am still new to anim8or but I had nothing to do so I made a sword. Its not the greatest as you can tell but what do you think. Any tips, or just critiqe me. The first sword was the first one I have ever made and the second one is my latest. You can see the improvement.

I dont know what to do. 
I am kinda at a stand still on anim8or. Ive only been using it for about two months yet what more can I do? Anim8or was real good at having tutorials for begginers (we all know the eggplant 
) Once I mastered the easy stuff I went to intermediate tutorials. I didnt have as many choices but they were awsome! So I fugured it was time to move on. But advanced tutorials are rare and I have not found any. Anim8or just needs a push forward. Im not singeling out Steve or anything but there should be a giant community project in aid of anim8or. Help give people direction. I know you are all saying "Why should a noob tell us what to do" yes I am a noob but the people that are inbetween ok and awsome need a goal. Questions that I have asked people say that anim8or cant do that but lets find away around that. I found a program called blender but I dont want to use that I want anim8or! But everything I need blender can do. Everybody has talked about a book but what about something like thishttp://www.blenderart.org/issues/ it has topics and tutorials and tips. Yes I now there is probably already a way to make fur, hair, and feathers on anim8or but I think there should be something like this in anim8or. http://www.hamsterking.com/blender/particlehair.htm yes I am probably considered a noob on anim8or (ive only used it for 2 months) but something this easy or easier would be nice.

I have been seeing programs where you can take a picture of a person put it on that program and it will make a 3D face of them. Where can I find one of these programs? (beside iclone) Also I am on a buget of $0.00

I need help, I have been trying to make fire using anim8or and Terr8. I just cant do it. I have looked at all the torturials on both websites and have came up with nothing. What is this fire plugin people are talking about? I hate to ask for alot but can someone make a detailed tutorial for me or just a video? -Thanks alot. (P.S pics would be nice)
