Anim8or Challenges / Re: Challenge #15: ...and then there was light.

Yes, I know. Thanks a lot. But I'm just crazy about this noise effect. Most of the people hate it, but this is same as film grain. So, I really enjoy it :)

Hello, forum. Nice work. I've just seen this post a couple of hours ago, and it is very interesting. I love lens flares, very usefull. But I never thought to make one with Anim8or. So, I used a model I started to build a couple of days ago, for a commercial. It is not finished yet, but I'll use it for this challenge.

I must say I only used anim8or, no photoshop, no nothing. For the lensflare I used several shapes to reflect the light, setting transparency to 0% and specular to maximum 3.2, I parented the light to the camera, and use face target to the light object, for facing the camera always, no matter the position.

I made six different materials for the lens flare.
you have some screen-shots to see how it works. The last image is tha same lensflare, with the materials transparency set at 0.23 to see the shapes I used, and rendered with Scanline. The finished image is rendered with AO, Global internsity: 0.310, ambient intensity 2.1.

Hi, forum and thanks.

@Arik_the_Red - No, the flames are not made in anim8or, it's real footage of flames, shot in front of black bg, and then traked and composited. But I'l try to create realistic frames in Animor. It's a thought.  ;)

@hihosilver - I'll post in a few hours some wireframes and clay renders of the bike. I also have some screen recordings when modeling the bike and car, and I'm thinking about making a "behind the scenes video" soon.

And, about Anim8or. Some people think it is only a basic shape program, but I said is a powerfull tool, if we use it proper.
