Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Re: v0.97e Pre-Beta
« on: June 06, 2013, 11:11:47 pm »
And in conclusion,

After retriving the file which indeed after a quick search was already on my computer, I copied it into a folder containing Anim8or .97e and it did work, but... I still cannot open it because though that worked I received an error that states,

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). CLick OK to close the application."

That specific error code from my findings stands for "STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT". I hope this helps any other who might have this same problem. In the mean time, I have some more work to do. I will check up with things in the AM.

Cheers,
Nate L.

Figured since Anim8or is getting an update I would help out.

Windows 8 64bit,
AMD A10 5800K
4gb RAM
2 x AMD Radeon HD 7970

I am getting the missing .dll even though the Visual C++ Runtime is installed. I will try headwax's little trick of just copying it close by to ensure that it works on my system, and provide an update as soon as I have an answer.

Cheers.

Looks awesome man. Textures look quality, and scene composure is awesome. Dare I say ART? or another renderer? If ART how many AA samples? 256? Either way man loving your start, good luck on that comp!

Hey guys he is an update, just woke and finished the shape of the face. Thanks Raxx, Hats fixed. I still have to add the creases near the mouth, but aside from that the face should be considered done. Just fleshing out the back of the head and neck. Then I can move on with the clothes and rest of the body. Thanks guys for the comments! :) That's whats great about these comps.

Thanks for the complements guys! Headwax, Yes a hat indeed. Oh and CowTail, the head might look small yes, but if you reference back to the first page you will see that everything is in proportion to the original image. ;) As for the front on of the face yes it does appear to be too skinny at first for the hat. This is true. But then as you can also see the hat is already to large for his head so it will be loose. So in saying that the head will make shape soon. And his hair will also fill in for some of the space needed for him to wear the huge hat. Im essentially trying to make it proportional from all dimensions.

p.s. Every ones work is looking great, keep up the great work guys! ill be sure to post some more progress soon!

Thanks $imon, Yeah pesky tris, lol. I was actually just converting them over as we speak. Good edge loops make for a supreme model! lol If I could have said that in a Asian philosophers voice on the forum that would have been awesome... Any way but I will be posting more when I get more done. But now I have to go work on a car. YAY!

Well guys here is more progress before I take a small break from my zuk, and start on the Wonderland challenge. There's been a lot of proportioning to go through by looking at reference images on the Teamswift.net forums. So here ya go. And I'll revive the topic when I'm done my piece for the challenge. Thanks guys!

Well I guess Im going to do this one as well. Im going to put my little suzuki on hold and put some work into this. As alot of us know this story from when we were much younger. So I have looked through the reference sites and I decided to go with a particular picture of the Mad Hatter. Should be fun and look for progress from me! Good luck every one!

That does sound like a awesome little zuk!

Yeah and I recall you being on here! Ive  been using Anim8or since 99' along with 3d max, and blender as well. And Im with you with loving to see people model vehicles, I actually own my LLC FN AutoDesign were we are starting to make aftermarket parts for the online market, and locally where I live. Not to mention Graphic Arts. So should be fun. Another reason Im making the little zuk is because I plan on using it to fit virtual prototypes in the engine bay. Just because after I design them, I can do so without to much physical trial and error. Any way Im trying to get some time to work more on the zuk now.

Thanks though guys!
