Thanks, Raxx. That was pretty obvious. Sorry I missed it.

Since I was posting a couple of things, I wanted to give Ian Ross a "thanks" for his wonderful tutorials. They were very helpful, and well worth their small cost. Appreciated!

May be side tracking the thread, since I have not played with the "ruler," but wondering if there is a way to "lock down" the background grid to keep it from resizing. Locking the grid down would give me a consistent size "reference" and help me keep things to scale. Sorry if this has been asked/answered or in the manual.

What I've been doing, lately, is setting the x,y,z ranges, locking one axis down and then setting the value I want numerically in the popup screen. You can even set the locked down value this way. Something else to keep in mind, nothing happens until/unless the green "record" button is depressed. I'm probably not very clear, here, but it is working for me.

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Re: Lower case "m"
« on: January 23, 2014, 03:18:51 pm »
Went to the forum and downloaded the fixed version from the link. It seems to work fine. I can now make 3D text with lower case m's that act properly. It was a most memorable moment for me. Most mornings my mail is made up mostly of missives from many communicative comrades, mainly moving of this land mass. It made me mighty merry to have a message meant for me from the man who is the main mover/manager of Anim8or. But it could have waited a while: m's still worked fine in the old version, the old version seems to work quite well with the new version, I doubt many have a pressing need for 3D text, and we hardly ever use m's, anyway.   ;-)  Thanks, Steve!

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Lower case "m"

First, I'm delighted to see active development again! I'm a total failure with Blender, but Anim8or is a delight. I'm already in love with the "mirror bones" feature, and I've also explored the glass, just a little.

I had a reason to do some 3d text yesterday. I noted a problem with the lower case "m." It's not acting right for fill/extrusion. It seems a repeatable error (on my system), and I went back to the earlier version of the program to do what I wanted.

Just registered, today. Hope this hasn't already been mentioned. Steve, you should be feeling a lot of love these days.
