I don't have a graphics card, just a plain PC, that explains it  :)

Actually if you go to view->preferences and tick the Use Shaders box you'll be able to see  the bumpmap in real time
"Use Shaders" is grayed out in my preferences, any obvious reason why ?

You could try and increase your image size in photoshop or similar program

I prefer the first render (gray) it's so life like it could be a photo of the real thing.
Wonderful.

Sorry about that, I should have mentioned the render, I forgot   :)

Glad you found it, your image looks great.

You are right.
Example, if you have a brick wall (wall covered with a pic of bricks) if you then use that same picture and turn it into black and white where the mortar is black and the bricks are white, use it as a bump map and your brick wall will show grooves where the mortar is.

Thanks hihosilver

I appreciate your comments and will apply them.
I made this 1 min animation including modelling, animation, voices and original music over 2 days so I could send it to a friend in time for Easter but I know it still has rough edges that need straighten out. I still have more ideas to add to the story but now that the rush is over I can add and fine tune and it's ok if I get it finished by next year  :)

Here's the pool

I just made this small animation about chocolate easter eggs, enjoying themselves then going next door to the swimming pool for a swim and then.....

It's not quite finished yet but when it is and I can keep the file size low I'll put it on my web site.

falloffalot, this is beautiful.
Once you have practised texture and light it will look like a photograph.

Have you checked with the meshes that you found if any had a file extension compatible with Anim8or import ?

From the System Requirements at http://www.anim8or.com/main/index.html it does not seem to be made for the Mac.

I got my copy, thank you very, very much.

I just love your program. After trying many others over the years it's the one I am most comfortable with.
As an added bonus, despite all it's capabilities, you are able to keep the program size small and to me, a computer geek for some 25 years, that's equally important.

Again, thank you.

Looks really good.
I would narrow the width of the body a bit, it looks out of proportion to the head

Or you can work with clips in the way they shoot real movies. A clip without the object. A clip with your object and so on. Then put all the clips together in a video editor, add music, titles and the finishing touches.

I'm working on an animation right now that's already 3.5 min long and I'm far from finished yet.

If you put a loop on each side of the rim - a small half donut - and put a handle through them it will be perfect.
