Spicy, if you want to show off to your mates why don't you show them your own work instead of the work of others. "Try your hardest" and you can do it.

Neat, reminds me of those sand and seeds, fistsized bags they used to sell. Put it on the window sill and water and it would grow hair (some kind of grass) just like that   ;)

person73, nice phone for just 10 min work. when your tree is chopped up it's well worth refining your design.

It won't be a flythrough, the rooms have ceilings    ;)
it will be a walk through from object to object and then at most objects something 'animated' happens.

Show us a picture when you're ready with your phone.

...just have it fall both in front and behind? ........
Then you will need terramin8or.
Attached is a log fire made with the same program. It's really life like when animated, it takes a long time to render but it's worth it.

Or you can use your keyboard

Ctrl+W     for Wire Frame
Ctrl+F       for Flat Shaded
Ctrl+S       for Smooth Shaded

I've noticed that too but I don't know why.
However, you can resize them in object mode until they fit your figure.

My museum is coming along fine, amongst other things there are dancing roman coins   ;)
This is the latest addition, a frosted glass urn with engraving.

I would suggest to ungroup all your sections and bend each one individually, then put them all together again.

Get yourself a copy of UVMapper Classic (free)
Load your model in *.obj format, make a map, save your model and map then paint your map in any painting program, then import your *.obj and load your map as a texture.

I think your renders are good, I would add some more local lights to make the details stand out more.
