Ah! i see reading 'Dancing shoes' post this issue has been already highlighted.

@Steve ..Wow :) ,i have been away for a while as i thought the rebuild was going to take a while....So wonderful to see it reappear 8)
and a new edition to explore.
Did Re programming allow any advantages in the redesign? like a free hand lasso tool or sound track addition? i seem to remember this was impossible with former incarnation.Forgive me if that's a dumb question. :o

i have been grumbling to myself for months about the new track ball system and have only just realised i could change it via 'options'..... :-\.dull as dish water me.
But having both seems great. 8)

Hi Steve.... I would like to see a way of changing the default values of the extrude tool to my own default values.
(don't know if any other users might find this useful).
No chance of this before your annual Italy excursion in any event i am imagining. :)

My advice would be to explore FREE online tutorials on Youtube and such places.

Anim8or Challenges / Re: Challenge #34: Anim8or 1.0 splash screen
« on: June 01, 2017, 06:21:23 am »
Try this: Copy a .png or .jpg file into the "Images" directory (the one in the File->Configure dialog) and rename it splash.png or splash.jpg, then run Anim8or.
Sounds exciting but i'm not getting any splash screens using this method or the basic competition entries mode. The prog just goes straight into the work space.

Steve
Houdini uses the space bar as the navigation modifier, and it's working fine for them. (Admittedly, they also use Alt nowadays, but that only happened because of pressure from Maya users.) How about switching from Alt to the space bar for arc rotate and making Esc deselect all instead?
This would free up Alt again and bring back MMB emulation.

+1

C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE\KEON9V7O\animv100beta\Anim8or_v1.0beta.exe
I have no idea how it got there... i absent mindedly just clicked on the zip file and then when presented with the unzipped exe, pinned it to the start menu then ran from there, which gave me the result as described previously.

@Steve..I have downloaded the new version again, this time from the anim8or site and its now working ok. :)
Previously i had downloaded the 1.0 beta from Kreators Anim8or Facebook area and that edition/version gives me the dialog box.
Sorry to cause you undue work. :(
On further inspection i found the location of the troublesome version was downloaded to some obscure location within IE. and i think the cause was that it was being run from this odd location.
