Yes I have tried to uncheck the cast/receive shadows of single objects. Maybe I made a mistake, but I donīt think. I donīt want to go to preferences, because I only want to let take the effect on single objects, not for all objects in the scene.

But thanks for your help.

Hello,

here is an update of my female robot. I modeled her a long time ago, but on weegend I decided to give her a new outfit and some eyebrows.

you can see, that anim8or can make very good raytracing pictures. I love it.

Look for more pictures on my deviantart-page.

General Anim8or Forum / Version 0.97d - shadow problem [BUG]

Hello,

when I was using anim8or I realiced, that it is impossible to turn of shadows for single objects whenn using ART. This is very imported when you want to render some textured objects with a transparent map (for example smokeparticles). This looks only real without shadows.

Can someone help? Thanks.

What a cute little character, very good :-)

Yes, the changing colors for emotional expression would be very nice. But I donīt think this can be done in anim8or, maybe you can use Terranim8or?

Nice to hear you like it. And itīs very interesting that some like the fake and the others like the raytraced one.
I must say, that I am also not sure which one I like most. I think the second one is the best. And thatīs very good, because it was not easy to get the best looking env. map for the water and I do not really want do do this every time for my renders.

What I find very interesting is that the watertap looks so different, because I give both the same env. map. Mmmmh, very interesting.

Yes, KiwiNM8OR, I was thinking to render the ART-version as an animation. Maybe I have to let my PC doing this over night. Sadly I didnīt look how long the render takes. I have to check this before.

I am so happy that the ART-Render is now implemented in anim8or. You make a very good job, Steve, a very good job :-)

Hello anim8ors,

I want to show you an old project of mine. In this project I tried to fake water. I want to post this old image with the fake water and new version with raytraced water using ART.
For faking the water, I used an env mapping of the background and made the frontside of the drops transparent.
Here is a short animation of the faking one: http://de.

The first picture shows the fake water.
The second picture shows the raytraced one.

Have fun.

General Anim8or Forum / Serching software for printing 3D-models as layers
« on: December 22, 2007, 06:51:29 am »
Do you know a program to print a 3D-model as seperate layers? Something like this: http://www.chubu3d.com/WizR_top.html or this: file:///C:/Downloads/loesch/fmdesigner/help/index.html
Unfortunately these two programs are from asia or so.

Or is it possible to make it in anim8or or other 3d-programs somehow?
Thanks.
