Ok, was reaquanting myself to morph targets and found a problem.
I am sure this is something from a previeous version that was overlooked, but thought I'd mention it anyway.
As you can see in the second image, the outside of the spring is much bigger in the x,y cordinance than the original. The only morph I made was using a bend modifier.it also only shows up in scene mode. Not object mode

I like the new global lighting intensity you added to the program, but was wondering why you didn't add them as a component of each light? It would seem more useful this way, ( but then I'm not up to par on the 3d stuff internally as much as I used to be, though understand that global lighting is different from the lights itself )

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / bug report 97c

OK, I'm not sure if it is a bug. It may be intended that way purposely.
It is related to the lights again, but unsure exactly why it happens. Might have to do with the Ray parameters soft size being up to 300, as it doesn't show this at low values. Anyway the randomness appears where there shouldn't be any shadow ( in the sky of reflection)
Note that I have cast shadows but not recieve.......

I can deal with it though
Another thing I noticed is that in object mode, I am unable to see the Object/Axis.

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / script.......
« on: September 07, 2008, 11:52:06 pm »
eek! seems the ASL is uh..... incomplete?
Was wanting to create new materials using the new attributes that was added in this version. So I did a quik review of the scripting language along with material script that was here.
What I am seeing is that the material typeset in the manual doesn't include some of those that was used in the script
Is there duplicate typesets with different names?
Anyway, I kind of understand why the attributes would be incomplete. Get but not set
bummed out on that. maybe you could squeeze me some code

In investigating the render problem more with monti carlo, it seems to be effected when using local lights, but not with global lighting. ( havent tried spot lights, sorry )
While I conducted this test I also learned that deleting all of the lights does not restore the default light as anticipated. don't know if this is an old or new find.
