I'm already using it and it works great, and is very useful, thank you! :-)

Yes, I was referring to the two points on the ends of the control handles. If we could gridsnap those, we would have even more control of a spline segment. (I've attached an image to try and show you what I mean) :-)

If I was to position those without gridsnapping them, that curve wouldn't be perfect. Hope that helps. :-)

That is strange. I just ran a test this moment: had a mesh cube, cut the bottom face, selected the open edges and tried to extrude it. It didn't work. it simply deselected the edges.

It's working fine here. :-)

PS. Thanks for the Knife tool update, Steve. Works great!

Steve, any chance you could also make it so we can gridsnap a spline's/knot's control point(s)? It would be very useful! :-) (This is a nice feature of Inkscape and it would be awesome if Anim8or could do this too!)

I'd really like to be able to lock the knife tools (like I can with the add edge tool), so I can only cut in one direction. :-)

I'd like to be able to start a cut from one point and then make a perfect slice straight up/down/left/right

Trevor: Can you post an example mesh?  I can't seem to reproduce this problem.

Hi!

I've recently had the same problem, so I've attached the mesh I had problems with, while trying to merge all the points using 0.002

I even doubled it's size a couple of times and it still did it!

It's an old model now, but at least you can see what happens. :-)

I don't really understand this much, but I thought it might be something else that's causing it, and it not being a problem with Anim8or itself, but if you don't ask...

Also, yeah! I've noticed the pixel counts changing when moving the same cube around! :-)

Thanks Steve!

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / If 1 unit in Anim8or equals 4 pixels...

During my time with Anim8or, I've noticed some weird thing going off when taking screenshots of the work area...

This is what I just did...

I created a 1x1x1 cube and then copied it twice, each time doubling it, so I ended up with 3 cubes...

1 x 1x1x1

1 x 2x2x2

1 x 4x4x4

Now, when I take a screenshot of the work area then paste it into my paint program, the sizes of the cubes are as follows...

The 1x1x1 = 4x4 pixels (Correct)

The 2x2x2 cube = 8x8 pixels (Correct)

The 4x4x4 cube = 18x18 (Should be 16x16 pixels)

Also, sometimes when I have made a cube and took a screenshot of it, it's one number of pixels on one side, and another number of pixels on another side.

What's happening?

Note: My desktop resolution is set to 1024x768 if that makes any difference.

Yes! A lot of people over there love your program and have made tons of models with it for their Thief: The Dark Project/Gold/Metal Age game levels! :-)

Is there any way to render a model on a transparent background?

I use anim8or to make 3D images too, (as well as models for my game levels), for use on websites, etc, and I would like to be able to render my models with a transparent background.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to making transparent images, so any help is greatly appreciated!  :D
