I just downloaded v.97c. 1st thing i did was try out the ART renderer. I dont think its working right and heres why.

What kind of settings/attributes did you used for the material?

First, this thread is better suited in the beta forum rather than here, that way Steven will more likely see that a possible problem exists.

 Secondly, be sure that the problem is duplicatable, and make sure that you have all the settings correct.

Then you need to say what OS you are using, and what settings, ect.  ;)

Be sure you have raytrace settings activated when using the ART attributes, though what I am seeing shouldn't be happening in either case.

It's possible that the default material didn't take. try making a new one with default settings and reapplying it to the mesh.

I did all that. Ive been playin with it for about 20 mins. I dont know how to activate raytrace though. Please tell me what you mean.

i turned antialiased off and it looks like the scanlined, but i think haveing antialiased on is a big deal. hopefully i can make this right. any hints or tips would help.

Ok, figured out what the bug was. It has to do with the lighting when the anti-alias is on. already reported it to the other forum.

As for the other question. Go to Render | Renderer... ART ray tracer

For now you'll be good to go if you just render it without the AA in Object mode.
this problem doesn't show up in scene mode.
