Nice job there baxter!  It's nice to see some models with good textures come through here.  Sadly I don't normally get the pleasure on the forums to see well textured models, probably because people don't tend to branch out and try UV mapping programs.
What did you use for your texturing?

thanks for the great reply, and for texturing, I used anim8or!

when someone tells you that anim8or has a bad UV tool, show them these.

dude! i really love halflife, and those creatures (at least the last one) really had the "halflife look", if you get what i mean.

i would love to see some models from the combine side too, walkers etc.

keep up the good work, looking forward to more from you! :D

they all look pretty darn scary to me!  :o  *runs the other way*

seriously, though: really great modelling and texturing.  my only crit is that you need to enable antialiasing for your renders to look their best.  i know game-making types sometimes have their reasons for rendering without AA, but if you do AA versions for us to look at on the forum, it'll make us happier ;)

the last one makes me want to quote Lewis Caroll for some reason... y'know, The Hunting of the Snark and all that...

Half-Life is freaking amazing! And any mod that promotes the storyline has a vote in my books!

@Mactetra - The last model and the first are from the original half life but the third is an all new creature, and sadly, since the game is technically gonna be a mod, were using the actual models made by Valve that were used in HL2, but I have always wanted to model a strider so you may see that someday.

@thecolclough - which one scared you the most?

@Darkjesture - this game is going to be the sequel to half life opposing force so its basically the complete opposite of the storyline from half life 1. but it will be extremely similar to half life game play though.

and if you haven't played HL: Opposing force, basically, your a corporal in an army who were sent to kill Gordan freeman but failed and you were left behind and you had to escape Black Mesa. basically read the whole story of this game here - http://www.moddb.com/mods/opposing-force-2

and thanks for all your positive replies :)

Oh my god!!Ask permission from valve to distribute this through steam!dont make the same mistake black mesa source did.

"Well, heres the news the news you have been waiting for.Weve been sued."

i understand of course.valve spent years and thousands making a graphics engine and they stole it,the storyline and design.and distributed.

Good moddeling and texturing,u should write a tut!

technically since its a modification, which many people do, we  can make it without being sued, now if we take their models and say they're ours or something, then we can be sued.

and, don't expect any tuts from me anytime soon, im no good at making tutorials :P
