Add a uv?  Do you mean UV map the handle so that he can texture it?

It's fine, I just want to make sure you have it right so that it doesn't sound odd in the future ;)

I threw together a quick video tut for keyframing a simple morph target, here: www.rudyschneider.com/MorphTarget.wmv

i made an animation that was an experiment with morph targets.it was a 3 second mutated peanut looking thing flying up to the screen and opening his face.i used movie maker and sample audio.

If you want to do "lip-syncing" or make it look like the character is talking, you'll want to use 'phonemes' which are basically the smallest form of speech that makes up simple sounds such as the 'ee' sound.
This is a great image demonstrating that you'll need multiple morph targets for different mouth shapes if you want realistic speech:

lynn, if your museum is multiple rooms it would make an awsome flythrough!

It won't be a flythrough, the rooms have ceilings    ;)
it will be a walk through from object to object and then at most objects something 'animated' happens.

Show us a picture when you're ready with your phone.
