I have been using the .97 beta verision and to my knowlage it is compatable with .95 and .95 is compatable with .97 beta but I also have .95 so I will use that but when we render the movie can we use .97 because of the ART raytracer. I dont know how it fully works but it is a good renderer.

One more thing. I have been working on the space a animanon.xtreemhost.com so check it out. To actually see the post you have to be a member which I HIGHLY advise.

For all of you that want to participate in the project there will be 2 main areas of development I will try to get a sticky on this forum for the project. Also there is a space for this project at animanon.xtreemhost.com you have to be a member but this is where we will get all of our help.(It is a great place to learn anim8or and they are starting a magizene project to help out even more which is due to launch on April the 5th I believe also they have many great tutorials on anim8or and will be glad to help with your questions so dont be afraid to post)

same here, doesn't seem to have many bugs, so it should be fine for what we want to do

another idea to make the film funny we could start it in a classroom with a boring old lady teaching the food chain and a kid falls asleep then transfer to the desert, i love the idea of us with guitars to mexican music but after that we should have the kid wake up and ace his science test. input please!!!!

I think that the theme is perfect it is better than before. The teacher can sound like the grown-ups on peanuts. (Whomp, Whomp, Womp)
Wow this just gets more and more educational!!!
Any more great ideas
Also who cant pass a test after watching us play the guitar and dressed up.
One more thing. Is ok that I put with the theme that we would put random events in the backgroud so that people can donate any models that they want.

more of a comical thing would probably make things slightly easier on us at any step of the movie.so in shortest terms....i like the idea of a comical movie.

Had a spare couple of hours today so I have had a quick go at a low poly fly.





I am open to any comments and will definitely need help texturing it, as I seem to have trouble with anything that isn't square. 

Do I need to make models that will be animated in a specific way or can any object be animated?

Your fly is amazing I can honestly say that you are a better modeler than me. Can you email me the file and I will see what I can do with the texture(im not that good at texturing myself)

Also how did you make it because I am going to video tape the project in progress so people know how we made it.
Here are some of the models that I am going to donate(they will be in the background )
They are the first I had ever made(been using anim8or for about a month during this time)

First pic is one of my first models, its a ragdoll. It is also anim8ted
Next, are two swords
And last is a snowman(in a desert )
I am also going to donate my werewolf(not completed )
And I will make some more models for the project

I like the fly, the shape and wings looks very realistic. I also like how the legs of the fly are shaped out

The fly looks nice.  As a side note, you wouldn't consider it lowpoly since it's a subdivision object.
