new particle technique
« on: January 12, 2009, 08:26:26 pm »

new technique in terranim8or.

benefits:
use one emmiter but have multi texute blend
faster render even with many particles
more realistic look

pics:
particle wire and rendere
screenshot form animation
project file
particle texture(did not include texture for the missile.)

note- when making your aprticle emmitter in terranim8or you must make sure to check "face camera"

I had already known about the technique of using transmaps to replace the object from terranim8or, but the overlapping one is new and interesting!
Still, you may be able to get quicker results if you just used a diffuse texture that you prepared before, it might be nice to try out.

Good try lizeal93, smoke trail is a useful technique.

Nice fire and smoke neirao.  I liked your "bit of research. "

Keep it up.

thank you all.

i'm working on a small vid trying to show how powerful anim8or really is. and i'm going to try another one of my theories to make some cool explosions, keep you postes.

by the way neirao thanks for that new idea, i always used two flames one slower than the other nad black and then the norm but you solved it! thanks!

sorry for the double post but i finished my lightining technique.

but first i must thank Ensoniq5 for his inspiring idea and method of facial expression changes in his "assparations of altitiude" - eraser man.

basically you make a "gif" by having different planes go on and off so fast that it fakes movement. try it out with these four lightning transmaps
