Spin Edge Request
« on: February 05, 2009, 01:03:57 am »

I believe a "spin edge" command would be wonderful for Anim8or.  Perhaps this could be implemented with a script, but would be much easier to use if there were some kind of keyboard shortcut.
Here is an example of the command in Silo.
The tool is very useful for quickly altering polygon flow without having to delete and edge then rebuild it and fill holes again.

Thanks for your consideration.

Nothing I can do about the keyboard shortcut, but
a script is possible.
Ready to give it a road test ?

Woo!  Awesome, well I haven't found any issue with it yet!  Haven't done extraneous testing, but it looks good.
If it could be implemented into Anim8or, that would be great, just because of the quickness of shortcuts.  Still, thanks a ton Claude, this will be useful!

"Spin quads" will be in the next preview.  It's the same as spin edge for edges between two quads.  Lightwave has it and it's a very useful modeling tool.
