I don't think this has been mentioned before.

In 3 view viewport, if you try to change one of the views (with numpad or by selecting from top left corner) it goes back to one viewport mode.

Yup.  Looking at this now.  #097-026 - Selecting Menu->ViewX Reverts 2 and 3 view mode to 1 view.

Yes good point!

On about the same note - thought it would be wasteful to open a new thread.. When changing from a 4 view viewport to a 1 view viewport (not sure about the other way around) the 'mode' of the view changed, so from a wireframe view > solid wire, while the button is still on the wireframe view.

Does anyone else have this sometimes?

Yes, I have that problem as well when using Anim8or, usually after rendering, although I haven't been having it as often recently.

Also, sometimes when you click the "full view button" It just zooms out.
