Which tutorial are you exactly talking about? Do you mean the simple walk tutorial?
You can find a downloadable file of that one over here: http://anim8or.com/tutorials/simplewalk/tutorial_simplewalk_3.zip.

I see. You can download youtube movies with this website: http://keepvid.com/
Just paste this link:
in the bar and press download. You will probably have to convert the file afterwards.

But i don't think you can download the character. You could PM johnar and ask for the model.

not unless there's a download link for the character. it'd be nice if you could embed the character in the FLV file, though.

Hello. :)

When i first made that cahracter, (froyd), i did make his head available for download, for people to practice thier lipsyncing.
That was a couple of years ago though, and since then, froyd has become a bit of an individual in his own right, and i'm not so keen on putting him out there now. I've done a lot of work on him since then, and he's sort've 'mine' now. :-\
But what if i made a tutorial on how to make your own?  :)

Ofcourse you don't have to give away you baby to everyone ;) writing a tutorial on making your own simple character would be great help to the newcomers.

One more question, how do you make it move around and talk and things even in object editor?  :o

You can't, this can only be done in scene and/or sequence mode.

Yes, true. That whole video was made in scene mode.

floyd86. I'm working on something now, which will take about a week to finish. After that, i'll start on a tut for 'building life'.
Been thinking about it, and because its quite a mission, (building an anim8able character from scratch), that i might do it in sections.
Build model - rigging - skinning  etc

 anyway, should be interrsting.

 ;)
