Nice work mcheccyb. I already had a small peak on cgn of this. Some ART materials wil definetly make this a nice render.

Looks 100% correct, only thing I can say is: ...the top side towards bottom looks like it needs a little more more edge reinforcement?


BTW: Do you play guitar?


I myself have a Squire '51, basically it's just Stratocaster, it's the same body and style just has a different name it.

I have quite a few guitars, I'm modeling this off of a very cheap stratocaster copy i bought off the Internet.

i have reinforced the edge now, I'll post an update when i have more done

A lot better edge!


The pickups and bridge look amazingly realistic. Cannot wait to see how well you get the tuners modeled. Are you going for realistic strings? Or just a simple cylinder, ya' know ...for the render times?

(I've never quite got the hang of Sub-division modeling, never could get my edges right)
