I am a  videographer ,editor by profession and use BORIS red , 3d app for compositing

I have seen some amazing 2d photo to 3d conversion

What software could one use to generate the clips or obj,s

If you mean making 3d objects from points taken from a photograph then Photomodeler springs to mind.

yes that’s exactly what I am looking for but it’s very very expensive compared to anim8tor

Is there any other alternatives?

Not that I know of, sorry, it's only program of that kind that I've come across over the years.
