well started something else i probably wont finish, even though i plan to. heres where im at. the texture is the reference image im working off of.

Ahh, I remember the first thing organic I tried to model was a wolf, (it is a wolf right?) lets just say you are doing way better then I did ;)

I would like to see a wireframe though.

Also the eyes look a little weird, not the shape of them, but the edges seem a little sharp.

When I find the picture of the caterpillar that I made I'll show you how I did the eyes if that would help you any.

Keep up the good work, it really is looking nice :)

i couldnt take a snapshot of it so i had 2 render the wireframe. but i used a planar uv so it didnt come out right (im still workin on texturing)
