Skuggy Freelance fan art
« on: August 23, 2009, 05:25:04 pm »

I read an online comic called Sluggy Freelance. On Saturday (22nd) they featured a logo that got me going. The original art is http://www.sluggy.com/comics/archives/daily/20090822 and http://www.sluggy.com/comics/archives/daily/20090821 (on the shoulder on the REA-5)

I posted my vid on you tube:

C&C is appreciated as always.

Nice animation there, I like the background and the background sound effects, very nice.

Only 2 crits, the *Clang* sound effects are a little unrealistic compared to the otherrs in the video, and the "Sluggy Freelance" font and font colour look a bit out of place, a bit too comical if you know what I mean.

Other than that, Nice work!

The sound effects are very bad, but the modelling, and animation, and the design are great. I'm a bit surprised that you stuck with the same shape, when you could have used many different shapes to do the same thing. Something like that would make a good intro for the Space game that I am making.

To which *clangs* are you refering? The ones where the 4 "U" shapes are assembling was not quite the sound I was looking for, but the best I could find. The "Sluggy Freelance" I got basically straight off the site, as well as the "bROKEN"

I'm sorry you don't like the sounds, but I'm still pretty new to putting sounds in my vids. I stuck to the shape because making that shape was the whole point.

I was talking about the first clangs when the shape comes together.
