I don't know anyone with an arrow on their head.. who are you modeling for the competition?

Looks like you have the basic shape down so far, but since I don't know who youre modeling I don't know if youre going for a realistic or cartoony look.. so I can't crit too much on it just now. In any case I think it couldnt hurt to bring the eyesockets in a little bit, and the eyebrows forward so that the eye area is a bit more defined.

Good luck with the competition!

Ah, Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender. You've got a good start. I think the eyes may need to be made more large and cartoon-ish like, unless are you going for a more realistic approach?

More brow and a more defined nose, and a better pronounced bottom lip will help him out a bit, I think.

Got some better ref pics and basically reworked him from the ground up. I know he still needs work around the mouth, cheeks, and chin area. I'm including one of my ref pics. Here is my updated images for today.

Sorry for the double post. Got a lot done today. A LOT. I'm still not happy with the definition around the nose or chin line, but I think it's looking good otherwise.

You're doing very well so far!  There are definitely some things that need to be fixed though.  Right now  he looks like he's starving.  You really need to flesh out the cheeks and widen the jaw (use your reference), the side of the head needs to be wider.  Secondly, the ears are too complicated and a bit distorted right now.  I'd go for fuller more comical and simple ears such as the ones shown in your reference image.

Keep up the good work!

Here are the wires you asked for rellik420.

I have no real experience making ears, but I'm learning. I am starting to try and flesh out the cheeks and jaw now. Cross your fingers.

Modeled, rigged, morphed, and rendered. Just deciding if I want sound or not.

I think sound would be a great challenge.  Perhaps lip syncing?
