Good job guys! Here is my entry. This was originally supposed to be a test render, but I ran out of time...

Yea nice bob, kubajzz.. It's a shame you couldn't get a better render out, but it looks excellent anyway!

Nice render, Kubajzz. =] Even though it was a test render, it still looks nice. =]

Attached is my final render. It's a 1-day render. I just started it yesterday and am pleased with how it came out, in spite of the circumstances.  ;)

I know I probably won't win, but here it is anyway! :) I hope to enter sooner next challenge and get a better entry.  :P

Ah, that's a shame, Mills. Show it here, anyway! I'd like to see it.

I voted, by the way.

Also, why does my render look so weird compared to everyone else's? It seems to have like, 256 colors or something. It's not, but it looks that way. All of my renders usually look that way. Could it be that I didn't use ART? Does scanline do that to renders?

Anyway, good effort, everyone! I wish there were more submissions. This was a fun challenge. :)

3Dgeek, I think that would have to do with your lighting and materials.  For materials, perhaps you want a bit more saturation?  Make sure the diffuse is up to 1 if you want full color.  Textures add to things a lot as well of course, but not only the diffuse textures.  The specular highlight add to the contrast of the image as well as shadows.  Of course, you can't forget lighting, as that's the key to making something look really good.  And, to add to all of this you can always play with your image in an image editing program like photoshop or gimp!

Great entries by everyone by the way.  Some good stuff goin on!

I don't think you're talking about what I'm talking about. :P (But maybe you do, read on..)

Maybe it's my video card playing tricks on me and everyone else doesn't notice because their card isn't doing it. Because, all of my renders do this. But if I open it in Windows Picture Viewer it distorts the image and apparently 'patches' it up. So say I press print-screen while viewing it in WPV* and paste it in a program and save it as a new file, it looks perfect. So I present a screenshot of a comparison between 'render' and WPV-screenshot.
Sorry if this is a little off-topic. Perhaps someone could merge these last few posts into a new topic?

Click (Circled in blue is the "bad" render, and the other one is the "good" WPV one)

Attached is the better entry just to have it here. :)

Likewise, didn't realise it was done. Well done Kubajzz, brilliant model! And of course a hearty well done to everyone who managed to get their image finished within the competition deadline.
