is there any way to import reference images or objects or even other figures into your sequence?

what i want to do is to use objects or anything as "rulers". for instance use something for the ground so that i can plant my feet on it.

I don't remember seeing anything in Anim8or of what you are looking for. What I tend to do is "stand" my figure on the top edge of the timeline and use that as a ruler or floor.
