Shredzilla

I'm doing this for a scholarship, destroy a flashcard. Destroying a real one is pretty limiting, espetially with their limits, i.e. no weapons, no alchohol (so it can't burst into flames without using expensive gasoline). Anyways, nowhere in their rules does it say that it has to be a REAL flashcard, so Anim8or is my "weapon" in this case. This is already been fun with what I have so far. Critisizm is WANTED. The flashcard is "PARODY", so it is only befitting that the movie is one. It's exposed to resemble those bad sets of them black and white monster movies way back when. The card is skinned, the monster is not.

It's supposed to be sunrise/sunset, but only to get long shadows to make everything contrast better, plus orange is close to red, and therefor makes that "evil" connection somewhat, but is still scientifically correct (though I may decide to change it). Is it possible to animate the sky color? The city doesn't stretch off that far yet, but I need to figure out a way to make it seem longer without really making it too much longer. The city is a repeated set of buildings, so I think I'll animate the different parts depending on where the camera is facing, that should do it, unless some reflections cause problems, but I don't think it will that much.

good work sofare so you need to destroy memory card with out violence or chemical reaction , alternative answer is use a strong speaker magnet it will not only destroy circuit but destroy the data in side on a molecular level  , ok now you have an alternative you could have it so the card escapes shredzilla to end up under a junk yard electro magnet crane zappping it up wards muhahaha

They don't say anything about violence, just weapons, alcohol, ect... basically stuff that is not aloud in a high school(stuff I wouldn't use in this case anyways unless I had the card military come in and fail in killing Shredzilla) and the card must be destroyed. Don't ask me why they thought this up, but without Anim8or, there isn't that much to do. Their grading scale is 50% creativity too. The other parts are hits and rating on You-Tube, but half is being original, and that is what I'm after (along with funny and entertaining).

It's not for school, and we have the same problems as yours, and I'm the only kid in school with Anim8or on their computer, I had to ask the tech crew to install it (I have no access to the C drive, which is the only place exe's are allowed to work). This is for a third party scholarship. This is the basic script...

-A person studying (not shown)
-Parody, one of the cards, suddenly disappears in a blinding flash.
-It has been brought to the digital world, and appears only to fall to the concrete of a metropolus.
-The other cards are fleeing, yelling things like "RUN!", "FLEE!", "OMG!", and "SHREDZILLA'S BACK /*sobing*/!"
-Parody turn partway around, sees the monster's reflection in the windows of the skyscrapers, and runs.
-Parody passes the other cards as if they were standing still.
-The camera moves behind the monster and the classic T-Rex Run scene is established.
-One of the cards gets kicked and falls over, Shredzilla steps on him. The card pops up once the creature has passed and yells, "I'm alive". A high pitched wuring sound is heard (a power drill with the pitch digitally raised will be used) and the card screams, and is sucked off camera with a resounding shreding sound.
-more running and gags, ect...

And that is what I have so far, tell me what you think. Thanks for the posts.

Sounds cool so far!!
You might have to render with art raytracer for Shredzilla's reflection

I did use the Art Ray tracer... I just leave it on there. I don't think it's much slower than scanline as long as you have no special materials and the default rays per pixel. Am I right?

Updates:
     I gave Shredzilla eyes
I got the town nearly finished (yes the trees are exposed to look bad, but I plan on making different textures soon)
I continued the animation about ten seconds.
It's coming along nicely, and I'm hoping to have it knocked out by the end of school, cause then I'll lose the school computer, and it (very sadly) renders faster than my home computer. Tell me what you think of it so far please. Thanks for the comments!

This I just did using Movie Maker, but this is my opening, the card is "transported" into the digital world. Also, I used the first picture as my texture for the front of Parody. It's exposed to resemble those cheezy effects that are still sometimes used for a flash, especially in low-budget productions.
