I rendered my ornament at a very small size and it went at a good speed, but if you do a close up - get ready to take a nap. Just don't zoom in to close on dielectric objects.

Here is a file for fake metal - The spheres have a lower specular than the twisted objects. You might have to play around with the spec. depending on the objects. Also on the fake metal the emissive is raised a little.

As far as dielectric - I'll try to come up with something

Well, due to the holidays and travel and what-not, I suspect that everyone's a bit busy this time of year (including myself and hihosilver). Therefore I invite anyone who's got the time to work on rendering a nice scene with all the ornaments on the Christmas tree and whatever backdrop you want, and post it up for all of us to see! I'll try to have my own version done by New Year's
