Minding my own beeswax
« on: September 08, 2010, 03:15:36 am »

Making a little bit of stuff for a local bee hive company...

Firstly, I have the worker bee.

Notes: The gloves and boots are borrowed from older creations... boots from Piglet (gone bad), and gloves from something I had started on a few years ago. They look good, so I decided they were worth dredging up for recycle.

I'm considering having him standing in front of honeycombs, with each chamber being like a wine cask or old-fashioned keg with a spigot... and him having a bucket to pour honey "from the tap"...

Thanks for the kind words.

He'll be poseable, and animated, and all.

Bones are all in place, now working to see if things all stick properly for posing and animation... stay tuned, because this might actually become an Arik Finished Product! That would make... TWO completed here on anim8or.com!

^LOL

Wow, Arik, this looks great! :D
Is it going to be a poster or video or something for the company?
Good luck.

I like this little bee-guy...

Thanks Geek... I was trying to edit and add the "boned" version in the previous message, but everything freaked out...

Trying again... Reconstructed boned version for comparison with the "single object" bee.

mutter mutter >bleep<>bleep<

No matter, it was just showing that the reconstructed, parted out, bee was the same as the "single object" bee.

I was in a pith-pooh mood with my machine, forgot to answer your question... Once the bee is in it's final form, all "bugs" worked out, he'll be used in what ever way the people want... brochure model, posed still renders or animated GIFs for websites, etc.
