Great stuff, everyone. :)

I like Arik's start, cooldude's nice render. (Although I would suggest adding some more lights and improving on the scene a bit)
Kreator's is awesome. :D

if you are talking about my scene, it was actually rendered in object mode, thats just the object, not even close to being finished.

Hopfully I well get the heart textured soon.

Kreator I'd love to see your render but I can't see it on Animanon, it wont let guests see your image!
Emmm... yes, as it says, guests can't see images :)) , so you just have to login in . ( that simple )))

Nice stuff so far everybody ;)). Uuh, I couldn't participate on previous , so I do my best to join this one.

Voted will be on the best still image.

Nope, movies/animations wont be judged in the final entries.  Kreator simply enjoys animation so he goes the extra mile to put his work in motion.  I would always encourage animation, but this competition will be based on images.

Thanks for the good words. Everyone's goods are looking good ;)

Am personally hoping to do both a still and animated, as I want to focus on improving my animation abilities. My animation ideas won't require extreme extra time, so it may happen.

But, at minimum, I think I should have a good still render to work with. Again, I am sticking strictly with anim8or for the modeling and rendering, and use of GIMP for texture work.

PhotoShop rules all. Period.

Now... I'll get a render done for this challenge.

Nice challenge idea and the first test renders here are nice.
Maximilianibus; its a good start, you could try to make your texture fit better (apply face to face or try a UV MAp) and perhaps subdivide one more time.
Her is what I have so far, I hope to have time to finish my scene this time...
