Dragonball z models
« on: April 21, 2011, 12:38:25 pm »

Hello all. I haven't posted here in awhile but I am looking to start my next poject by modeling and animating dragonball z characters. But my problem is finding good modeling reference images. I know that I will have to draw these reference images but does anyone know where i can get some good reference images?

maybe find videos on Youtube and pause it in places where you see the characters in front and side views?

I am finished with the the model of broly. I don't know if I want to give him a toon shader or just texture him.

  • Couldn't ever use Blender or Maya. Anim8or's good.

Absolutely GREAT model!! For the benefit of 'cartoonicism', a toon shader would be good.

I have not toon shaded the model yet but I decided to make his other forms. I did not want to remodel broly in his legend ssj form so i just used the modifier to try to make him bigger.

Maybe increase the depth of the abs, right now they feel a little flat.

I'll try to work on that and define some more of his muscles. Here Is an update on the next model of gohan. With this character I'm trying to stick with proper edge loops in his face.

Looks quite good... The only comment I have is that his eyes seem a bit less menacing than his actual animated character couterpart's. They look quite a bit wider/larger than they should be, to be a bit more specific.
