Scene & Sequence Editor - Setting the Default Key Type
« on: April 28, 2011, 03:20:39 pm »

There needs to be something in Anim8or that either lets you set the default key type for all of the keys of an object, or the global default key type for every object. I'm getting really annoyed by the Smooth key type, and the other two don't seem to work (Corner and Step), so I have to go into every frame 1 by 1 and set them to where I want them to be.

  • Couldn't ever use Blender or Maya. Anim8or's good.

Have you tried the Graph Editor (or whatever it's called)?

Hi MikeslyMontague. All the key types work, the bug seems to be that they don't update until you affect (move/rotate) an element with keyframing ON after you've changed it's key type, which I agree certainly gives the impression of them not working. Anim8or is a [relatively] basic package that hasn't been updated in a very, very long time, but it can do pretty much anything you want it to if you have the patience. I certainly agree that being able to change the default type would help, I think it's presumed to be 'smooth' as it is the most common motion type when you're starting out.
