changing materialls on the fly
« on: June 04, 2011, 01:55:31 pm »

seems like i cant do this with morphe targets but i could just be doing it wrong.

say u have a sphere with a drawn on face. the 1st drawing is a normal face the 2nd is a smile, 3rd is a frown and so on.

ill keep messing with it but it will help if some1 knows a good way to do it.

hi  :)
you can use same trick for "animated backgrounds":
tutor:
&NR=1
other sample:

basically you need use the "visibility key" in scene mode.
or
render multiples modes (with each texture face)and after edit the video in a editor!

i hope then this help you! ;)

thanks neirao.

that actually looks like a lot more work than it should be. so i think i will try and do it in an editor.

what i want to do is have something drawn in my video. so it would be like  looking at someone draw on a piece of paper with a pencil. im sure it would be easier to animate the actual movements of the hand anc pencil then manually make what is drawn in a video editor.

thanks for the help.
