Help! Windows 7 with Anim8or
« on: November 09, 2012, 04:07:15 pm »

I downloaded anim8or on my Windows 7 64, bit computer, it is a Toshiba, if the matters, and once I pressed run, there was a while of nothing, then it said: "Anim8or has stopped working Windows can check for a solution to the problem. 'Check online for a Solution and close the program' 'Close the program.'" So I closed it. I did it again a few times and it said the same thing. So I decided to re-download it, so I was gonna delete the first one, when I searched it, it wasn't there, so I re-downloaded it, and it said the same thing, so I checked "View Problem details", and it said this : "Problem Event Name:   APPCRASH

  Application Version:   0.9.5.0
  Application Timestamp:   45c94bfc

Download and use the .97 Preview instead. Right-click the Anim8or.exe file after extracting it from the zip file (don't execute it from within the zip file), go to properties, then go to the compatibility tab. Try setting compatibility for windows xp, and disable visual themes and desktop composition.

Thank you, but, I saw that in a video, but, I don't see a compatibility tab on it.

I think this is already on da forums.....try searching it. Welcome, btw. Glad to have a real person and not a spammer.
Check this link out ... as cello said its worth checking posts with the search tool , http://www.anim8or.com/smf/index.php?topic=4205.0

As for spammers the site needs updating to at Least SMF V2.0 , then the problem might go away, with the security mods it offers.
