captaindrewi, maybe your computer has malware on it, or something else. Does v0.98 work smoothly? You can check also if your antivirus is getting in the way by disabling it beforehand.

cooldude234 and johnar: I can now reproduce the problem with bone rotation in Scene mode. I'll fix it and post an update.

neirao: Oops, you're right, that's a bug - the length won't change for then "Edit Bone" tool.  I'll fix it.
Steve
Could you also add the feature that cooldude234 illustrated in this post?

I posted build 1176 with a new trackball that uses the current coordinate system for rotations.  You can select either world, local or screen using the three buttons in the left-hand toolbar.  It doesn't look much like a sphere when using screen coordinates, just a crossed circle :( .

The scene mode bug posted above has been fixed. Thanks steve

Personally, i don't mind how it looks now. Its still functional and easy to use.
Thumbs up, will keep in touch, and thanks again.

Hey Steve, seems to work fine in all modes. The screen coord widget is how I imagined it'd be, I think it's fine.

The outer screen Z-axis circle doesn't work anymore though, is that intentional? It's useful to have that regardless of what coord system is selected.

Lastly and kind of related, I notice that mouse-over highlighting doesn't work for anything when fast select is off. I always work in fast select mode so I never noticed, but I think it's a useful feature to implement universally.

I disabled the out ring but didn't delete any code so it's simple to enable again.

Mouse-over highlighting would need quite a bit of tweaking when fast-select is off. You don't want to highlight things that won't be affected. But it's a good idea.

I think at minimum, it should be enabled for the select tool and the widget axes.
