Hi guys!
« on: January 03, 2016, 07:11:11 pm »

So, I'm new to this software and to this forum. Now before you guys tell me anim8or's not receiving updates anymore, I'm aware of this and I just want to try it out. I also use Blender a lot so I would like to compare the features of both. So can anyone point me to some interesting/fun tutorials for anim8or?

Thanks guys!

I don't know about that, but Steve posts news about the latest development build here: http://www.anim8or.com/smf/index.php/topic,4795.0.html. The link to download build 1205 is at the top of the page.

that was the most recent official/stable release.  there have been loads of beta/preview releases since then, though.

I too thought Anim8or was long dead. I didn't know Steve is still developing it! =D It makes me so happy to know this project is still alive! Anim8or is the first 3D software I ever used, on my very first computer back in 2005, and helped launch me into my adventures in digital art. Does anyone know if Anim8or runs decently on a Mac with Wine? I saw some people were using Parallels, which is fine but a bit expensive for my purposes.

Anim8or did not work with Wine on my Mac. I sometimes use Virtualbox, but Bootcamp is the best way to run Anim8or on your Mac.
