Sequence vs. Scene woes
« on: March 17, 2019, 01:31:38 pm »

Hi

So I have set up a well boned character (thank you johnar).  I pose him up in the sequence mode.  He starts with his right arm down and his right hand down.  He is moving the wrist bone as if he is strumming a guitar.  Everything looks good in sequence mode.  However, when I create a new scene and add the figure, and then add the sequence, he has arm straight out but his hand is strumming.  His are should be bent like in the first frame of the sequence.  Any ideas?

Thanks

Generally you want all joints that are moving to have a keyframe on the first frame. Try and make sure the first frame in the sequence has each joint keyed. Edit->Keys->Key All Bones is a quick fix.

Sequences apply to bones by name. So you need to give the corresponding bones the same name.

If you are applying a sequence to the same figure in a scene it should just work.

I think I made a connection to figure > sequence and scene.  The rig should be pretty much in the position you want to start your animation with.  My model took the position it had as a figure as opposed to a sequence.  I am going to confirm that when I get a chance

Yes that pretty much confirmed it.
