Looks good at first sight, some nice textures you used. Would you like to show us some other views and maybe a wireframe.
An stereotype oldfashion western town is mostly just one street with around 10 houses or so. Atleast thats how I see an real cowboy town. With a saloon and a sherriffs office and some shops.

woah!where did you find those great textures! by the way...in lots of cartoons my cousins watch there are about 6-12 buildings aligned to make a single street in a town..but for realism...i don't really know.(possibly 30 buildings scattered about.maybe some very primitive that are far from the cameras view)

Looks good so far.

C&C:

Shingles:  They look rather shiny and metallic.  Is this intended?
Saloon Doorway: To me this looks WAY too wide.

As to your question about how amny buildings, well, being the Old West you pretty much have a free hand to make it as big or as small as you like.  Most of those places started off as tiny mining camps of one kind or another and grew or died from there.

Looking very good so far, I too would like to see some other angles. :)

im not a people person73 & EcoTyler: I found the textures here http://www.cgtextures.com/textures.php CG textures is an awesome website. And to make them look more realistic I used Pixia. Here is a quick video on how I did that process, it can be found here and the video is called Using Bumpmaps http://two.xthost.info/RnDrFOX/

floyd86: I will post some more pics in a little bit and it will include the views that you requested.

Olias: I will work on the doors the reason why they are so wide is because of the opening also on the roof how do you make it look more weathered and not metallic since it is just a texture and a bumpmap.

And I thanks on giving me a number on how many houses I should have ;D

That's a decent start to the saloon you have there RnDr FOX.  Right now the main issue seems to be the size ratio of things.  I'm not sure if the shingles there are the roof.  If they are, it's MUCH too low.  Remember to keep in mind that people want to walk in these buildings.  So try to get the door a realistic size, where the two swinging doors are also realistic in comparison (as Olias said, the door is a bit too wide right now.)  You also want to keep in mind that the ceiling needs to be a good deal above the doorway, and the roof would go above that.
I like that tutorial, I'm sure people will find it useful.
One tip in there I'd like to add though, bumpmaps don't have to be straight black and white.  They can be grayscale.  The darker black something is, the more it will be indented, the whiter it is, the more it will be bumped out.

Pretty good if you raise the roof somewhat.
I'm a fan of old cowboy movies and when they enter a saloon they have at least their head above the top of the door sometimes even their shoulders.
A tall cowboy in your town would bump his head against the roof to get a drink ;)

I love the saloon and the textures. I agree with lynn 22 pheraps raise the roof a little bit. And also what would be good, is to shwo us the enviroment inside the saloon (Cowboys, tables, drinks). That would be impressive btw.

Looks cool

As someone has mentioned above the doors are too wide

Also a western town would have primarly

Saloon
Bank
Sherifs Office
Tailor
Hardware Store
Black Smith
Horse Stables
Post Office(Some times intergraded with the saloon)

I would scatter the buildings around don't make them on one Strip like Las Vegas. Also most of the buildings should have a porch like walk way an a Horse Rail in front of them with watering barrles or troffs.
