Where have all the Moderators gone... Raxx is usually on the ball with spammers but I am seeing quite a lot just recently!

Anim8or is beginning to annoy me at the moment, especially when I am trying to create a scene, as the Copy/Paste is not enabled (never has been  and I do not know if was intentional), but I am forced to load individual objects with the build object command


Now this is fine for static objects that I do not intend to animate as I can group most of these elements in Object mode  and then import them all at once. However, if I am using a number of objects that need to be animated I am forced to load these seperately and here is where the problem begins.


I have to rescale them to fit with the uniform scale tool which is haphazard as there is no function to precisely tweak the scaled dimensions. So some objects are not uniform scaled, some look to big or slightly smaller than others.


I asking that the Object/paste command in scene mode is implemented asap, as well as a precise way to amend the scaling in scene mode, also the ability to tweak locations of objects ( there is the abilty to do this in object mode with the cursor keys but in scene mode there is no fine tuning as the cursor keys control the frame movement. Why are the Function keys not used  F1 thru F12 perhaps these could be utilised?

Whenever I am modelling I regularly use point edit mode, but I have to keep switching off edges and faces.
I do not use fast select or fast focus these are not checked, but it just keeps happening.
I run over a face or edge that I have no intention of selecting but they come on and stay on!. This never never used to happen with the older versions.


Any remedy Steve?

Anim8or v1.0 Discussion Forum / Movie Mode Crashes

Scanline and ART movie modes crash Anim8or V.1.0 Beta 1 & 2 after the first frame render. OpenGL though, works perfectly for the 71 frames that I tested.

From the 25th December 2014 Anim8orworld.com will close its doors, I intend to concentrate on other things, rather that maintain a site that has little support, so we just have the official site left.

One of those other "things" is to get on with my Anim8or book that I started writing so as a little xmas present for you, here is the initial part

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Light through Transparency..

Looking to doing some major anim8ing with Anim8or, but I am somewhat hesitant to do any thing at the moment, mainly because of Anim8ors major inability to cast correct shadows with any transparency maps.

I know this has been discussed and pointed out before, but is it not time that this discrepancy was corrected as soon as possible.


It does not work with ART, Scanline shows the same shadow on a reduced basis and OpenGL is not worth using as it shows no shadows at all. see images below:

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Sequence editor Problems 0.97E & F

have problems with stopping any sequences with 0.97E and 0.97F


In so far as the sequence stop button ghosts the screen, with message "Anim8or is not responding"  escape key does not return to edit status


Also does this with looping a sequence.
