image, antialiased, avi uncompressed . to see good results
and make sure its named and saved to a directory.
you have to effectively do that twice in the boxes shown below,
though the second box gets the info from the first automatically.

great fun to see, i have checked your web site too
i like the sub scape.
this image  is a bit busy and difficult
to read in places for me

drat! it was going well too.
i have read the manual countless times but much to my distress
remain befuddled in this area.
i can make edges off a solid
but cant see how i begin to make a single edge from scratch
that i can buid upon.

 ;D ;D ;D
hang on....... the shift key!!!!
and joining the solids in object mode first!!!!! ;)
i could be there now.........
aw.......yes......thats $*%&   it!!!! ......only took a few years. 8)

a personal anim8or milestone to grasp this form of modelling
Wow!! and the rush when it all came together.
works so well when you finally nail it.
anim8or is such a joy to work with .
got this lovely sensation of walking down the roads of earlier anim8or travellers
when the work flow clicked in.
i recommend giving it a try to those box modellers amongst us.
Great thanks to all that helped.
especially the animanonners i would mention them but they are strictly to remain anonymous .
The pic is a bit of nostalgia for the veterans...dont get any ideas boys this lady is spoken for.

thanks for replying,i bow to your knowledge hiho.
perhaps edge extruding was used in this fabled demo/tutorial
i once followed.i
so infuriating that i didn't save the information at the time.
i am saving as much anim8or technical tute info as i can nowadays
just in case it fades away.

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Re: Lip Sync on Animanon

well it's intricate, good and has a high believability factor ,still 2 weeks left though.
i am hoping to submit an entry also, at present my model can quite proudly  quack like a duck
more beak sync than lip sync.

General Anim8or Forum / laptop mouse pad
« on: February 13, 2009, 02:42:09 pm »
don't know if this relates to some of Tanzims problems....

I tried to follow the easy eyes tutorial also, my abilities related to figures and sequences have been a bit hit and miss.
and following the tutorial  i  couldnt get things to work.
On a whim decided to try it on another computer and accidently realised that the functionality of my laptop is to blame.
The other computer has a mouse and adds much more functionality to moving the bones  to where i want them etc
In the 'easy eyes tutorial' the right mouse button is the area where my laptop mousepad lets me down.
Clicking what should in effect be the right mouse button has no wonder my figure/sequencing progress has been a bit stuttered.
Is there a way round this laptop based drawback ?
i suppose i could plug in an external mouse.

Finished Works and Works in Progress / LEPTONIUM
« on: February 11, 2009, 11:44:11 am »
LEPTONIUM...was made to celebrate the 3d ness of anim8or it's quite minimalist really
certainly in terms of modelling
i entered this film in the mobo film contest recently but it didn't make it into the final. ;D

the finshed film was designed for distibution on mobile phones so thats the reason for its dimensions.
i have been using anim8or for a number of years and without the help and genorosity of the anim8or community
it would not have come to be.
i hope you enjoy it and would love to here your views.

i have another film called 'leptonia' which is very similar though all scenes and backgrounds are different
It is wide screen 1920 x 1080 hd,which i hope to submit somewhere?? soon.

here are some related still images from the movies made using anim8or and photoshop.
