yes, but we're all going to notice it when we watch the animation now!  just because we know it's there.  :o

if you could just get rid of that opaque surround on the tree, you would upgrade the image from 'nearly-perfect' to 'perfect'.  a bit of work on the transmap, and it should be impeccable.  honest ;)

very nice lamp, btw ;D

Few things here that are annoying me and degrade this still .

1: the decorations seem way to big ! they could be scaled down a tad.

2: the window looks flat, perhaps a bump map to the material , same applies to the picture

3: Ditto with the fire It needs some depth

Other than that looking quite nice, will be better animated I know

headwax:
I disagree somewhat. It;s akk a matter of style - what style lynn is aiming at. Not superrealism perhaps, but a christmassy feel.

lynn22:
Thanks a lot for all the suggestions guys but I have to move on now.

I still have to finish Rudolf then rig and animate him to dance to the tune of "Jingle Bell Rock" and hundreds of frames to render.
Last make a music score to finish it all off.

Add it all up and there's not much time left till Xmas  ;D
