ok, sorry for no sudden replies, but I finally woke up from napping all day, and decided to do some work on doob. Nothing special, two doob's, some new skin, and a prettier scene. Animation and more interactive play things and characters coming soon.

I actually decided to render a bigger view of him forgetting that I am running a Apple Mac Pro with 2-2.8GHz Quad core processors... (Grant only one of those cores is being utilized...)

lynn22:
I think that doob would look better if you reduced the size of the pattern of your texture which is rather overwhelming for this little character. Doob is losing his cuteness  ;)

KiwiNM8OR:
I like that he has thumbs. The potential for expression there will be fun to see. I'm not too sure what design your going to stick with but considering the new scene I would suggest using the same material for the bump map as well. I find that with the right texture the bump map will give a more vivid impression. But I still like the thumbs.

Hi guys yet again thank you for commenting on my char. To lynn22, I can tell you know that doob's texture isnt repeating at all actually. And the bump map is actually quite subtle. What your seeing is probably just your eyes tricking you to belive that some of the lighter points on doob are an outstanding bump map. See with doob I was going for a "paper-ish" look for his skin. So I created a paper bag looking texture for him, and then applied. Now as you can see though I did end up adding small defects like scuffs and such to his skin giving him a bit of a worn feel. Sorry for the slight misunderstanding, however I will take your advice and try some more texturing to see the out come. Then I will post them and see how you guys rate the look of doob. Thank you guys for helping me develop my char.
