Mars Mining Droid

Bobert:
So I was experiementing in Anim8or I got an idea for my next project. I'm modeling a robot droid that does mining operations on Mars. ;D

Here are some sketches and a picture of the almost complete model. I gotta do texturing next.....

Indian8or:
A few suggestions.  Make it more detailed.  Space things need more details and epic proportions to inspire awe.  May be you can add a telescopic foldable robotic arm or ruggedized wheels, etc.  Do not forget to add surrounding elements in a final render.

Bobert:
Yeah I am planning to do a more detailed model next but for now I think I'm going to see what I could do with this design. I'll post an update later today.

I decided that I'm not going to do a full scene for the sake of time right now (I have midterms to worry about) so I had an idea to do a render of the droid mining on some martian land. I'm just going to model the land on a platform like thing

Constructive critism is always welcome.

Well I have to say things are comming along.  :D
Here are some updates on the model. As you can see I've done some texturing  ;). I decided to give the droid a used, old, gritty look.
 The third picture is the model with just the bump map applied.
