ASUS P5Q Pro Motherboard
Tanzim:
Well, it's been awhile since I last did anything with Anim8or, and there happened to be a competition at CGN so I though why not, I've done a bit more work after the first our of modeling.
Points: 13016
Edges: 22552
Faces: 10060
Runs without lag actually, most of the points come from the heatsinks.
Jehovahenker:
Awesome, got that1 2 in my little beasty ;D
That render is lokking very real, it would be cool if you'd make a whole pc ;)
Mr. Becker:
very good. i was actually thinking about modeling a chip. i guess you beat me to it. xD
headwax:
Hey Tanzim
very nice...
Maybe a smidge more thickness in the board itself, and how about a bumpmap and a spec map to bring out the "solders",
spec map to add some highlight on those parts
Apart from that, that vertical line of brown things on the bottom left don't look as real as the rest of the render
Tanzim:
Jehovahenker: Nice, I have 1 to, to bad I only have a Dual-Core instead of a Quad, and thanks but I don't think I'll be making a whole computer, I have a few other projects that I started over a year ago that I want to finish first :(.
Mr. Becker: Thanks, don't worry, there are hundreds of other chips out there.
headwax: Yeah, the board does look like a single polygon, and I'll see if I can create a specular map. There's already already a bumpmap on it which I used for the transistors and IC's that were just too small to make a difference (personal opinion).
For the vertical line, do you mean the heatsink or the SATA ports?
----------
I'll see if I can make this a bit more realistic, maybe by changing the angle of the camera and the lighting. I'm also going to add a bumpmap to the top of the RAM, PCI and PCIe ports.
