[fixed] Modifier, Type related issues.

<< < (2/3) > >>

Steve:
1. When an object is bound to a Modifier, as you noticed, you can't move it or edit it. This is how Anim8or has works since the start. When I fixed these latest Copy/Paste and other bugs I left that behavior the same though I agree that it's not ideal. Once I am sure that all the existing bugs are fixed I'll look into changing the behavior of Modifiers so that you can select the Modifier and the bound mesh separately, and edit either or both if them independently.

2. I have tried to reproduce the crash that you mention with builds 1124 through 1129 and am unable to do so. Are you testing 1127? I'll take a look at the code to see if I can spot anything.

3. Thanks, I fixed the name of the .exe fro 1124.

MvGulik:
1. Roger. :)

2. Yes, I was using 1127. (issue was 'not' detected in 1124). Win-Xp on this side. I'm not sure what other locals might play a role here. (will retest on other computer with Vista.)

New one:
RunTime Error: (seems memory leak)(XP+Vista)
- Bind Mesh(any, Dodec) to Modifier(any, Bend).
- With mouse, adjust modifier [Move, Rotate, Scale(both)]
* While doing so Anim8or's memory usage only goose up, ending(after a while) in a terminal run-time error.
(build 1127 only)(build 1129 download-link got overlooked) ...?...
Fixed: v0.9.8 build 1137

MvGulik:
2. Same problem on Win-Vista on this side. Anim8or crashes after paste of unbound modifier.

Steve:
Ok I just got it to crash. But I was running in  Microsoft software OpenGL  1.1. I should be able to find the problem now.

Steve:
OK here's why I couldn't reproduce. I was using Ctrl-V to paste which doesn't crash. If you use Edit->Paste it crashes. This will be fixed in the next update.
