points of reference image won't turn into a mesh

:-\ I've found weird thing or a bug, when I want to make a mesh from a reference image if there are too many points they won't unite into a mesh (I didn't rotate the image). After many tries I give up. When I try to make a mesh from low number of points it turns OK, it's making me insane, any suggestion please? :-[

Ummmm...

Not to be flippant, but...

I can't help but think of the old Henny Youngman routine, "Doc, it hurts when I do this."  The doctor says "Don't do that."

But seriously, why can't you "build up" a big mesh from many smaller meshes?  Seems less frustrating to me.

Steve:
slex: Can you be a little more specific in how you tried to do this? That is, what specific tools did you use?

slex:
excuse me for my poorly formulated question. I've made the path around the image using straight and curved path, then when I want to fill it problem starts. here's the file, reference image was daniel's ''trumpetty''

Steve:
slex: There's a limit of 500 points in Anim8or's tesselation code and the path in your example has 676 (that includes the points added in the path to make it smooth).
