Layer functionality
« on: February 07, 2025, 12:04:04 am »

Hi Steve,

Anim8or has been such a great tool for visualization for all my home projects! And now I'm starting to teach my daughter how to use it. Crazy how it's come full circle!

I was wondering if I could humbly request for a feature: The ability to assign your current selection in Object Mode to a specific layer.  Changing object layer assignment can only be done one object at a time in the current release.  This is quite a time consuming task to do when working with a large number of objects! It would be nice to be able to do something like "Edit-> Layer-> Assign Objects to Layer" to be able to assign all objects in your selection to, say, layer 2.

Thanks for everything you've done!

Great idea! I'll see what I can do. I won't be back to my development computer until mid March, so it'll be a while.

By "Object" you mean "shapes" inside an actual "Object" , I guess. Or I didn't understand it right. ( duh, yes, still :D )
